Most of the time when I mention being a Graphic Designer, it’s met with an ambiguous curiosity on what it is we actually do. So, let me take on you on a short tour into the galactics of graphics - but spoiler alert, we are not JUST about making things look snazzy.

Graphic Design involves making the message for business clear, consistent and on course for a memorable brand. We’re visual communicators and organise your message in a way that’s easy to understand – and relayed at communication speeds comprehensive at the speed of light. So … Does Graphic Design Really Matter? Yes. It Really Does.

At Moonshot, we are passionate about restoring the power of graphic communication back to HQ. The world’s most notable brands choose strong foundational design - that makes their business character comprehensive to customers - and your business should be too!

In our world, we are eliminators of mixed messaging and on target for impact through readability, graphics, colour, typography and consistency.

Are Graphic Designers the Same as Artists?

Our skills do arguably intersect, and designers have a varying spectrum of artistic ability, this works as a support to our work - but there is a difference. Primarily – designers are visual problem solvers, and work hand-in-hand with your marketing, advertising and internal communications. Artists on the other hand create primarily for self-expression, often embracing open-ended meaning that invites interpretation.

In essence, an artist poses questions, while a designer solves problems. Together, they spark innovation, turning imagination into reality and transforming ideas into experiences that inspire and connect.

How to Prepare for the Design Journey

At Moonshot, we meet you where you’re at - whether you’re just starting out and have “no idea” or already have a clear vision in mind. Our role is to connect deeply with your brand’s core - but the journey runs smoothest when the crew (that’s you) is fully onboard.

Our daily operations can include, but are not limited to, Brand and Logo Design, Marketing Materials, Website Design, Social Media Graphics, Signage and Packaging.

For stellar results, the more clarity and insight you bring, the more aligned your creative outcomes will be.

Here’s a handy list of ways you can get the most from working with us:

Be Clear: Share your mission and goals. What are you aiming to achieve? Who are you trying to reach?

Share Samples: Send examples of designs you like (and don’t like). It’s a fast-track way for us to understand your creative trajectory.

Be Direct: Let us know what’s hindering or helping in design direction. Example: “This feels too corporate - can we try something more approachable?”

Come Prepared: Your designer may need logo files, brand colours and fonts, copy/text content, high-resolution images.

The Bottom Line on Graphic Design

A Graphic Designer is your brand’s navigator. We chart a course through transforming ideas into a visual message that converts and creates an lasting impact on your audience.

From your logo and brand to your social media, packaging and to presentations, we help your business show up and on purpose.
